This Waterloo "no frills" league is brand new this Spring 2010, set up in response to the huge demand we have seen for more affordable leagues. Initially we are looking to run a 8 or 12 team league on Thursdays between 7-8pm. The no frills league is a great way to get some extra practice in and will also offer teams a bit of fun competition when Sunday football is out for the summer! The facilities are top class - top quality 3G floodlit pitches, newly built changing facilities pavilion including lockers and showers. The GMH Park by the Imperial War Museum is five minutes from Lambeth North station and also within walking distance of Waterloo and Elephant & Castle tube stops. Top Corner leagues are fun, well-organised and the teams pride themselves on good sportsmanship. This new no frills league would mean that there would be one qualified referee on site to ensure that the venue is always safe and secure and to answer any questions the teams might have. He or she would not actually officiate your game. The referee will also gather your scores at the end of your game and input them onto the website - so you still have the perk of seeing your league table online! Medals will be awarded to the winning team at the end of the season. Fixtures, results and the league table will be available online and via email so make sure you register your details. |
